Convert a PDF table to Excel
Copying a table from a PDF into Excel usually scrambles the columns. Here you see the page, fix the lines by hand and export XLSX or CSV.

How it works
Bank statements, timetables, invoices with item lines: they all arrive as PDFs and rarely paste well into Excel. The tool proposes rows and columns from the gaps between the text and draws them over the page. If a column is wrong, drag its line. If a row should merge with the next, delete the divider. The table below updates instantly and you can fix cells before downloading.
- Drop the PDF or the photo of the table.
- Drag the red lines until they sit between the right columns and rows.
- Fix a cell or two in the table below.
- Download Excel (.xlsx) or CSV, or copy and paste into Excel.
Limits, stated plainly
Tables with no clear gap between columns, merged cells and tilted photos need manual fixing. In scanned PDFs the quality depends on OCR.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the CSV use semicolons?
Portuguese Excel expects “;” as separator because the comma is the decimal mark. On the English version of the site the CSV uses commas.
Do numbers stay numbers in Excel?
Yes, values like 1 234,50 become numbers. NIFs, phone numbers and codes with leading zeros stay text. You can switch the conversion off.
Does it work on photos of tables?
Yes, with OCR, but the photo has to be straight and sharp. For tilted photos, straighten them first with “Photo to scan”.
